Child Care Policy:
All children should be in an activity or cared by an adult.  Children should not be allowed to roam the builing.

Child care is available from 5:30pm to 8:30pm in the Multipurpose Room Mon thru Thurs. 

Please check the schedule regularly.  We will add classes as the demand grows.

Descriptions

Silver Splash - Designed to tone muscles and increase cardiovascular circulation. Class is conducted in waist-high water. Participants do not need to know how to swim.

Belly dancing – Middle eastern dance focusing on the core for upper and lower body isolation.  Great fun, open to all levels.

Boot Camp - Combines group calisthenics, strength training, and flexibility. Using hand weights, tubing and other equipment to improve muscular strength, tone and joint stability.

Cardio Kickboxing - Combines traditional kickboxing moves to develop strength, power, and cardiovascular fitness. Participants of all levels are welcome.

Zumba-  Cardio Dance class influenced by Latin Beats. Great cardio workout and lots of fun!!

Yoga – Flexibility and Strength training incorporating breathing techniques.  All levels welcome. 

 

Silver Sneakers Fitness Program

Silver Sneakers- Muscular Strength & Range of Movement Conditioning Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and skills required during activities for daily living (ADLs). Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and /or standing support.

* Silver Sneakers is sold exclusively through partnerships with health plans across the United States. Please consult your healthcare provider to determine if you are eligible.

Safety Tips & Suggestion

  • Introduce yourself to the instructor before class.
  • Advise the instructor if you have specific medical and / or orthopedic problems. (Hypertension, taking medication, back or knee injuries.)
  • Abdominal exercises are always done at the end of each class to complete your workout.
  • Listen to your body; pushing too hard can result in injury.
  • Above all, remember this is supposed to be fun! Start slow and go at your own pace.

 

Policies

  • Classes are free to members.
  • Must be 18 years. and older to partake in-group exercise classes.
  • Proper workout attire is required (sweats, tights, biking shorts, T-shirts, sneakers).
  • No food, drink or chewing gum allowed in the Fitness Areas.
  • No gym bags, pocketbooks or coats allowed in Wellness Center or studios. Please use lockers and a secure lock.
