Do you have 5-10 hours a month and a desire to help young adults on the road to success and social responsibility? Leaders are needed in a variety of roles. Please Contact Joe Marciszyn at 908-756-6060 x105 or email jmarciszyn@plainfieldy.org for more details.
The mission of the Youth Development department is to create opportunities and provide an environment that fosters growth and offers support for all our Teens.
It isn't easy being a teen today. Our Y youth workers understand that with direction and support teens can become enormous assets to our community. The Y is committed to developing our youth, not just because they need us, but because we need them. After all, the future of our community will rest with them.
The goal of our youth work is to provide the services and experiences that young adults need to prepare for their life after high school and the Y.
We hope the Y will be a place where teens can:
- 1. Feel valued and supported,
- 2. Know they have options and prospects for a successful future, and
- 3. Gain the competence and confidence to become productive adult citizen
