| The Residential Alternative
Program, better known as RAP, is one of the Plainfield
Area YMCA’s many distinguished programs. RAP began
almost 20 years ago as a response to the enormous need
for stable, safe, and loving homes for children involved
in the DYFS system due to abuse and neglect cases.
Although the faces have changed, the RAP mission remains
the same…If you have space in your home & love in your
heart we have an amazing opportunity for you…Become a
RAP Resource Family! Starting in May, the RAP program
will provide a regular “Family Night” for families
enrolled in the program. Family Night will provide
parents and foster children with the support of their
peers while also giving them a night out.
