| Addy Bonet is the new President and C.E.O. of the
Plainfield Area YMCA. She comes to Plainfield, NJ with over 20 years
of experience in the not-for-profit sector.
Ms. Bonet, a native from Hoboken, NJ, and a current Monmouth County
resident has been involved with the YMCA organization since 1986
serving in various executive level positions in Hoboken, Red Bank,
Mt. Holly, Asbury Park and Bayonne NJ. She also served as
Vice-President for the two largest YMCA’s in the country: including
the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and the YMCA of Greater New York.
Her experience includes: managing larger
operations, with over 15 million dollars in revenue and staff of
over 300. She has been successful and responsible for membership
growth, program delivery, childcare, youth & family programs, social
service programs including mental health and housing as well as
fundraising, marketing and public relations.
Ms. Bonet has led numerous successful fundraising
campaigns in the areas of special events, capital development and
annual sustaining campaigns.

Under Ms. Bonet’s leadership, the Plainfield Area
YMCA will have a unique opportunity to continue to serve the
Plainfield Area communities and strengthen the core operations and
reach further into the communities that need YMCA services most.
Ms. Bonet will bring energy, enthusiasm, intellect
and commitment to the YMCA mission that will allow the Plainfield
Area YMCA to deliver
valuable services and programs to the communities it serves. In the
counties of Middlesex, Somerset and Union. In the towns of Dunellen,
Green Brook, North Plainfield, Piscataway, Plainfield, South
Plainfield, Warren and Watchung.
